Happy Holidays to all.
LSPR is in the books, The Website is back up, and the Annual Social is next on the calendar.
Not much to report here on Red Light other than the date for the social is January 20. Same drill as before. Here in Hopkins anytime after 15:00. BYOB if you don't like my tastes in ETOH. Unless we hear that someone wants to potluck something other than BBQ and Chili...that is the plan for food with the usual assortment of chips, cheese and crackers. Please let me know if you plan on attending to allow us to plan for the appropriate amount of supplies for the event.
Enjoy your holidays, Safe safe and may Santa be good to you.

My son Joseph is looking for a ride up to the event. initially he was going to ride with me on Wednesday because he had a concert Tuesday evening he needed to be at.
With the practice stage Wednesday morning I have to now leave on Tuesday and Joseph still wants to go with. He is looking for a ride either anytime Wednesday or anytime Thursday.
He might ride with me at the event so you don't need to make space for him other than to get him up there and he will ride with me home. He is a radio op and has a learners permit so he can also play chauffeur if you want and easy trip up.
Elmer also has a couple of locals that can ride or drive for this event
I am planning on leaving for MI on Tuesday AM.
Practice stage is in Wednesday at 10:30.
Press stage is at the airport on Thursday AM.
Talked to Elmer 10/9. Made updates per conversation.
Elmer reads this list and uses this for planning so if you are not listed and are planning on attending please advise us so we can plan for this.
On the anniversary of 9/11 I have had time to reflect on the days activities 16 years ago.
I am told that there are a number of days that you will remember where you are and what you were doing. 9/11/01 is one of those dates for me.
Please take a moment sometime today or this week to remember the FF and LEO's that lost their lives that day.

Two quick items
First. I'll start staffing for the 2 day event in October. Saturday and Sunday. October 7, 8
Second. Looks like WRL will be using RLR for the event on 9/30-10/1. Will get confirmation later today. Will need 7 corners and rescue. Taking names for that too.
IN making a final review of documents and assignments I am finding that the comment that I could do this with four full teams is not accurate. I need a spectator medical for a spot.
As of now with Rescue One working a start I have the starts and the spectator/midpoint medical covered with the current teams. I am in need of a dedicated Spectator Medical for One additional stage on BOTH days.
I have a potential vehicle and driver to transport just need the Medical Person to staff the location.
Beat the bushes as We have to staff this position.
The event is this week and I am heading off tho the great white north in the AM So last update based on the commitments I have gotten to date (subject to change before the event)
The event is 8/25-26 same format as in the past with Friday night in the Paul Bunyan State Forest and Saturday west of Park Rapids and finishing in Detroit Lakes. Anticipated finish is earlier than the past so the drive home to walker should not be an all night event.
Current Staffing
Here is the latest from the white board:
R1- Paul A-r, Joseph A
R2- Devon-r, Robert P
R3- Brian P-r, Tim
R4- Paul R-r, Sean
R5-
R6-
R7-
S Sweep- Denny, Andy
S1-Dick, Jessie
S2- Alex K, Nick K
S3- Wade Miller
S4-
Green Light- Matt's Dad
Looking for additional staffing as there is no room for a "Plan B" at this level
PLEASE let me know before the meetings if you are planning on working medical or sweep so I can plan for your positions.
The biggest change for this event is that headquarters is NOT in Detroit Lakes.
HEADQUARTERS IS AT THE NORTHERN LIGHTS CASINO IN WALKER.
All meetings and activities thru the start of the rally cars leaving Saturday AM are at the casino.
The rally will finish in Detroit Lakes as it has in the past.
I plan on staying in Walker for the entire event. There is room block reserved for the event. It is under the "Headwaters" title. I am told that the current rate for a room is $120/night.
