August News

Current NewsDuring July, RLR assisted an EMT class with hands on extrication training. I am told that the training went really well with the students talking about it for the rest of the class. I know that the instructor was well pleased as well and we should see some additional opportunities for future events with his future classes.

Heading into this month (august) was interesting. The Nord Stern folks did not disappoint at the National Event. The day started with a 911 doing the rollover maneuver in 2. Had the corner station been rebuilt it would again be gone. The car landed in the same place as the last 2 911's did.

Paul was kept busy with a number of flat tows for the rest of the day (Friday). Saturday it was Brandons turn with most of the tows going to him. Jim did get to run an play somewhat nut for the most part he had the quiet locations to work from (excepting his front row seat to the rollover). Sunday had the Lunacy sprint race and we watched as one of the cars get bucho points for style on a wet front straight. With 6-8 rotations and no wall contact the first time. Unfortunately the second time was not the charm and the car tagged the wall on a second rotation the second time it got loose.

That about summed up the weekend, Ojibwe is the next event on the calendar and as of this writing an still looking for 2-3 crews for the event. please let me know of any options as I can really use the help.

Play safe and enjoy the rest of the summer.

The Porsche club race was fun, had lots of tows and the couple of booboos made it fun. But not as fun as getting to pit paul and getting banned from the go kart track for the day :)
