The season for Red Light Rescue drew to an end at BIR last weekend with the BMW club event. Highlights from the weekend were limited but do include a rollover at 7-8 on Saturday. Most of the rest of the weekend was limited to sweeping on a few corners on Saturday and one on Sunday. Despite best efforts on Sunday, 4 rounds of Root Beer in Rocinante and at least 2 broadcast from elsewhere on the track, and crosswords and word puzzles the "magic" seemed to be used up for the season. That's probably a good thing for participants and it made for a nice quiet day to close the season.
Start planning now for the first weekend in January. (check your calendar) The annual RLR bash is going to shift a little west (Excelsior) and the last report is that the combined Mid-Winter Bash X and RLR party will have a pig roast and LIVE band. Details will follow in the next months but from past MWB events this should be a good time. This event goes on snow or not and also includes a bonfire for those that want to stand outside and toast the front while freezing the behind...(the word rotissary takes on a new meaning after this event) I can provide limited space for the out-of-town guests.....
